Larrin Bergman
is a native of Jud, North Dakota. He received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from North Dakota
State University, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of
North Dakota (with distinction).
Prior to
attending law school, Larrin worked as design engineer for Beamco in
Oslo, Minnesota, where he developed parts for ATV's, personal
watercraft, and snowmobiles.
While in law
school, Larrin won best brief in the moot court competition. He also
spent a semester studying international comparative law at the
University of Oslo in Oslo, Norway.

David L. Buck
received his Juris Doctor
from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
where he was Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law
Society and on the Editorial Board of the Marquette Intellectual Law
Property Law Review. Prior to law school, David earned his
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (summa cum laude)
from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
Prior to working at Kinney & Lange, David was a
Legal Clerk for Johnson Controls, Inc., in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
where he worked closely with outside counsel regarding aspects of
Johnson Control's intellectual property. He also worked for the United
States Forest Products Laboratory, in Madison, Wisconsin, as a
General Engineer where he designed and implemented solutions for
scientists, conducted research and testing on wood plastic
composites, and supported development and implementation of several major projects.
David also spent a number of summers as a
Deckboss for the Meredith Charlene based out of Dillingham,
Alaska, where he supervised all functions on deck of the commercial
fishing vessel, trained other personnel, and was responsible for the
safety of employees.
Since graduating from law school in 2007, David
has focused his practice primarily on patent prosecution and product
clearance and patentability. David has experience with a variety of
technologies including HVAC systems and components, medical devices,
electrical systems & components, fire & security solutions, aircraft
propulsion systems, wind turbines, business methods, manufacturing
and repair processes, and other mechanical and electronic devices.
David is licensed to practice in front of the U.S. Patent &
Trademark Office, the U.S. District Court for the District
of Minnesota, and the Supreme Court of the States of Wisconsin and
Minnesota.
In his spare time, David is an avid world
traveler, a certified diver, and enjoys basketball, and skiing.

Michael A. Collins
graduated with
honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned a
degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. During his
undergraduate study, he worked as a computer consultant for the
University’s Computer-Aided Engineering department, and interned at
Alliant Techsystems as a production engineer. Michael graduated cum
laude from the University of Minnesota Law School where he earned
his Juris Doctor in 2004.
Since law school,
Michael has worked at Kinney & Lange where his practice emphasizes
patent prosecution. He has experience in technologies ranging from
semiconductor fabrication, power circuits (e.g., power supplies),
power generation/distribution systems, energy storage devices (e.g.,
batteries), software, wireless networks, sensor technology, and
aircraft engines. Michael is licensed to practice by the Minnesota
Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the
U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys coaching youth baseball, playing
golf, and spending time with his family.

Brian T. Craggs
received Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and
in Materials Science from the University of Michigan, and his Juris
Doctor (magna cum laude) from the University of Minnesota Law
School.
Prior to working
at Kinney & Lange,
Brian worked as a Research Assistant at Southwestern University
School of Law, in Los Angeles, California, and as a
Student Attorney for the Innocence Project of Minnesota. He also
worked as an Outage Coordinator and Facility Planner for Great Lakes
Gas Transmission Co. (now a subsidiary of TransCanada Corporation), in Troy, Michigan, as well as a Laboratory
Engineer for Rouge Steel Corporation in Dearborn, Michigan.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys bicycling, golf, fantasy football, and spending time
with his wife, son, and their dog.
