Alan M. Koenck graduated
with high distinction from the University of Iowa School of Law
where he earned his Juris Doctor and was named to the Order of the
Coif. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical
Engineering from Iowa State University.
Prior
to joining Kinney & Lange, Alan worked on patent law matters in the
legal department of Norand Corporation, a major manufacturer of
portable data collection and communication systems.

Barry G. Koepke received his Bachelor of Science and Master
of Science degrees in Metallurgical
Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana and his Ph.D.
degree in Metallurgy from Iowa State University.
Prior
to joining Kinney & Lange, Barry spent a career at Honeywell and
Alliant Techsystems in R&D and Operations Management. During
that time he was an Adjunct Professor of Materials Science at the
University of Minnesota and (on leave from Honeywell) Director of
the Ceramics Research Program at the National Science Foundation,
Washington, D.C.
Barry is a member of
Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, Sigma Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Sigma Mu
honor societies and is a Fellow of the American Ceramic Society.
He has published over 50 papers and has 6 patents. In his

Stephen M.
Komarec is a Wisconsin native, and received his Bachelor of
Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and his Juris Doctor from
the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his undergraduate
studies, Steve interned with Asyst Technologies, LLC and Case
Corporation. He also worked as a Page in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
While attending
law school, Steve was the recipient of the State Bar Award for the
Highest Grade in Introduction to Substantive Criminal Law. He
also was a Judicial Intern in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern
District of Wisconsin.
Steve also served
in the U.S. Armed Forces as a Specialist in the U.S. Army. In
his free time, he enjoys sports, current events, reading, and
outdoor activities.

Nathaniel P. Longley
received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physics from Carleton
College in 1986 and his Ph.D. in Astroparticle Physics from the
University of Minnesota in 1993. Nat was a postdoctoral fellow at
the California Institute of Technology, and has taught at both
Carleton and Swarthmore College. He has also authored or co-authored
approximately one hundred scholarly articles in particle physics,
astrophysics, neutrino physics, and statistics.Nat received his
Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the University of Minnesota in 2006.
In his final year, Nat was an invited participant in the inaugural
Walter F. Mondale Seminar in International Relations, and
co-authored the American Bar Association’s response to the U.S.
Patent and Trademark Office’s Strategic Plan for 2007-2012. In his
free time, Nat enjoys running, fishing, volunteer work and trying to
keep up with his three kids.
