Professional Experience

Eric is an associate with Kinney & Lange, practicing intellectual property law in both transactional and litigation settings. Eric primarily focuses on patent and trademark law, including drafting and prosecution of patent applications, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate studies, and drafting opinions of counsel regarding infringement, enforceability, and validity issues.

Before law school, Eric received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. As an engineering student, Eric had internships as a production engineer at a snowplow manufacturer and as a process engineer at an automotive manufacturer. Eric worked for five years as a process engineer and a manufacturing engineer at a Minnesota Fortune 100 manufacturing company. Eric received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. In his free time, Eric enjoys playing golf, fishing, cheering on Detroit sports teams, and spending time with his family.
